Hoffer supplies multiple sizes of flow meters and the model CAT3 smart, signal transmitters to Lockheed Martin for radar cooling flow applications as seen in this photo. These flow systems are used on the Aegis weapon system and are specifically used on the AN/SPY-1 multi-function, phased-array radar system. This high powered (four megawatt) radar is able to perform search, track and missile guidance functions simultaneously. These radar systems are highly flexible and have been installed on 10 different classes of navy vessels throughout the world. The Hoffer flow systems used on this radar cooling application have been shock, vibration and EMI tested and qualified to various MIL standards for shipboard use.
